What we work on

  • Programme area 1

    People with disabilities

    Awareness, assessment and rehabilitation for people with disabilities, learning difficulties and Irlen Syndrome, with a focus on rural Gharbia.

  • Programme area 2

    Scientific thinking and innovation

    A ministry-approved inventors’ club, robotics camps and the “Make Your Toy” programme, delivered in schools and cultural centres.

  • Programme area 3

    Women, children and youth

    Child development and child rights, competitions and camps, and employability training that prepares young people for the labour market.

  • Programme area 4

    Cultural and human development

    Creative writing workshops, drawing camps, theatre and film, and human development training and conferences.

  • Programme area 5

    Education quality

    Spreading quality-assurance practice in pre-university and higher education, and publishing the work of the late Prof. Magdy Abdel Wahab Qasem.

Governance

The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees; the board and a finance committee approve the annual plan and spending lines. In line with the Foundation’s privacy policy, only names, roles and professional titles are published.

Where we work

Six premises across Gharbia and Menoufia governorates — operating sites for activities; the Foundation has no separately registered branches. It also delivers in partner schools, cultural palaces and fellow associations.

In memoriam

  • The poet Maher Nasr

    A founder of the Egyptian Foundation for Development and Quality, he died on 20 October 2020. The Foundation dedicates its charitable and development work to him; its registered office is his house in El-Delgamon.

  • Prof. Magdy Abdel Wahab Qasem

    Head of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. The Foundation publishes his writing on quality within its education-quality programme.
