Privacy policy
We handle as little of your data as possible, and only for specific purposes.
Last updated: August 2026
General principle
This is an informational website for the Egyptian Foundation for Development and Quality. It does not ask you to register an account, does not sell products, and does not ask visitors for bank or payment details. We collect the minimum data needed to reply to your messages, and nothing more.
What we collect
- Contact form data:your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the subject and text of your message. These are sent to the Foundation’s mailbox for the sole purpose of replying to you.
- IP address and time of submission: recorded temporarily alongside a contact form message to prevent spam and repeated submissions. They are not used for any other purpose.
What we do not collect
- We do not use tracking cookies or visitor analytics tools.
- We do not use social network tracking buttons or scripts.
- We do not ask for card numbers, bank accounts or passwords through the website, and you should not send them in any message.
- We do not sell your data or share it with any commercial party.
Hosting and files
The website consists of static pages served directly from the hosting provider. As with any web server, technical access logs may be kept by the hosting provider for operational and security purposes. These are outside the Foundation’s control and are governed by the provider’s own policy.
Fonts and external resources
The fonts used on the website are hosted locally alongside it, so no requests are sent to external services while a page loads. Some older articles may contain videos embedded from YouTube; in that case, watching the video is subject to YouTube’s privacy policy.
Archive content and individual privacy
We moved the Foundation’s published archive to this website. In doing so we deliberately excluded all personal contact details that were present in the old archive — personal phone numbers, personal email addresses and home addresses — and published only names, roles and professional titles, whose publication relates to institutional transparency.
If you are a party to any published content and consider that its publication affects your privacy, write to us at info@efdq.org.eg and we will review the request and act on it.
Retention period
Contact form messages are kept in the Foundation’s mailbox for as long as is needed to reply and follow up on the request. Spam-prevention records are kept for one hour and then deleted automatically.
Your rights
You may ask what data we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Send your request from the contact page or to info@efdq.org.eg.
Children
The Foundation’s programmes serve children, but this website is not directed at them for the purpose of collecting their data. Children should not send personal data through the website without a guardian’s consent, and correspondence concerning any child should come from their guardian.
Changes to this policy
When this policy is amended we will update the last-updated date at the top of the page.
