Something else concerns me: a standard of real importance and value which, when I worked at the Authority, I found was not met in many faculties, namely
the scientific research standard

Indicators are there a research plan approved by the universities that matches needs ” what do we mean by needs here … is it labour market requirements – twenty-first century skills – the absence of scientific research in particular fields, where research enriches the library …” how do we encourage scientific publishing: does the university maintain particular scientific journals and periodicals, or does it leave researchers to try on their own? / is funding and support provided under specific budget lines …Someone in the quality field once said … our faculty has no weaknesses except support and funding for scientific research … and we answer: is that not a gap that should make us reassess and plan? The extent of compliance with research ethics
The scientific research standard has stood in the way of many faculties obtaining accreditation. It is true that there are other weaknesses, but this standard remains important and necessary.
