The Foundation's strategy for empowering people with disabilities

Attention to people with disabilities is not merely a passing developmental or humanitarian duty; it is one of the essential pillars of sustainable development and of "Egypt Vision 2030". On that basis, the Egyptian Foundation for Development and Quality (registered under number 1990 of 2015) places disability at the front of its strategic priorities for the current summer season.
*Working method and the shift towards full inclusion:*
In its programmes for children with Down syndrome and with learning difficulties, the Foundation works from a considered scientific basis that goes beyond conventional care to focus on the dimensions of "psychological capital", which include:
1. *Building hope and self-confidence:* by designing activities that highlight their individual successes and make them able to face challenges.
2. *Psychological and behavioural resilience:* equipping children and young people with the skills that help them adapt socially and be genuinely included with their peers.
3. *Developing cognitive pathways:* using interactive technological tools suited to their abilities, which open up horizons for innovation.
*A sustained partnership with parents:*
The Foundation believes that successful rehabilitation begins with the family; the summer programmes therefore include regular workshops and guidance sessions for parents, to help them understand individual differences and address learning difficulties using modern, effective educational methods.
At the Egyptian Foundation for Development and Quality we open our doors and offer our specialist team to provide the best developmental environment, one that ensures a good quality of life for our children and prepares them to be active, influential forces in building the future.
