Here we set out some information about the personal aircraft, which will use robotics, the properties of new materials and nanotechnology

“Since 1990 nanotechnology has asserted itself as a new scientific revolution beside which the digital revolution looks very modest. It is the science of shrinking things to atomic dimensions, and it is the fifth generation to appear in the world of electronics. It was preceded by the first generation, which used the vacuum tube, including in television; the second generation, which used the transistor; then the third generation of electronics, which used integrated circuits, a very small component that cut the size of many devices while raising their efficiency and multiplying their functions; and the fourth generation, which used microprocessors and brought about an enormous revolution in electronics by producing personal computers and silicon chips, which advanced many scientific and industrial fields

The term nanotechnology literally means techniques manufactured at nanometre scale. The nanometre is the finest metric unit of measurement known to date: one billionth of a metre, roughly ten times the atomic unit known as the angstrom. A nanometre is about 80,000 times smaller than the diameter of a hair. The word nanotechnology is also used to mean the technology of ultra-fine materials, microscopic technology or miniaturisation technology. It is a technology that will open prospects now appearing fantastical in every field of life, because nanoscience unifies and brings together all branches of science, with limitless possibilities whose results cannot be predicted; nor can we imagine the manner and forms of large things once they are reduced to atomic size.
