The Strategic Plan for 2018
Main pillars
Our pillars of work this year are drawn from the State's strategic plan, Egypt Vision 2030
The Foundation has therefore decided to work through the following pillars
Pillar One: people with disabilities
Pillar Two: scientific, innovative, creative and inventive thinking
Pillar Three: women, children and youth
Pillar Four: cultural and human development
Pillar Five: education quality
Pillar One: people with disabilities
In line with the vision of the State's strategic plan and the Foundation's statutes, the Committee for People with Disabilities and the Finance Committee have decided the following:
– To work in line with the Foundation's vision for developing society and to link that vision to the problems of people with disabilities, particularly in rural areas
– To raise public awareness of the rights of people with disabilities
– To run programmes and training for people with disabilities at the Foundation's premises and at relevant partner sites ” cultural palaces – the State Information Service – schools … and charitable associations and other bodies concerned with people with disabilities ”
– People with disabilities include the following groups: ” people with various disabilities – people with learning difficulties – Irlen Syndrome ”
– Expenditure covers all activities for people with disabilities and includes ” recreational trips – awareness programmes – skills development programmes – handicraft projects – distribution of gifts – distribution of cash grants ”
– The Foundation may contract with those it considers to have expertise in the field of disability
– The Foundation may take on as ” trainees ” anyone it judges willing to develop through its disability programmes, including university students, and may dispense with them if they do anything that impedes the Foundation's progress or harms its capacities
– The Foundation publishes all its work on its Facebook page until funds are available to create an official website for the Foundation on the internet
– Subject to general agreement and the approval of the administrative authority, the Foundation may develop its programmes and purchase supplies for the development of people with disabilities
– The Foundation may carry out artistic work ” drawing – theatre – documentary films – interactive theatre – writing workshops …” that contributes to developing the abilities of people with disabilities
– The Foundation may accept donations and grants and work to attract as much of them as possible for the benefit of people with disabilities
Pillar Two: scientific, innovative, creative and inventive thinking
In accordance with the Foundation's statutes and the amendment it proposed and had approved by the administrative authority to establish a club for innovators and inventors, and in accordance with the State's Egypt Vision 2030 plan and its pillar on thinking and innovation, the Foundation has decided the following
– To organise events that develop thinking
– To organise and deliver projects that develop scientific, innovative, creative and inventive thinking
– To run robotics camps
– To run camps for the "Make Your Toy" programme
– The Foundation is to provide thinking development programmes and to manage them
– The Foundation may form partnerships with various State institutions to deliver its thinking development programmes
– The Foundation may deliver its thinking programmes in ” schools – universities – the Foundation's premises – cultural palaces – the Academy of Scientific Research – the State Information Service – technology exhibitions ”
– The Foundation may spend on these activities and purchase their supplies
– The Foundation may accept donations that support the activity and work to attract donors to fund the activities
– The Foundation may sponsor creative pupils from families who cannot afford support, develop them, fund their activities and encourage them
– The Foundation may train young people interested in its projects in line with its vision, and may dispense with them if they do anything that impedes the Foundation's progress or harms its capacities
– The Foundation may carry out artistic work ” drawing – theatre – documentary films – interactive theatre – writing workshops …” that contributes to the delivery and effectiveness of the activities
– The Foundation may publish all the activity's events on its Facebook page until a website is designed on the internet
Pillar Three: women, children and youth
In accordance with the Foundation's statutes and the State's strategic plan, the Foundation has decided to work towards its vision and mission, implement its statutes and contribute to delivering the State plan through the following programmes and activities:
– To deliver child development programmes, sponsor childhood projects and promote children's rights
– To hold competitions and celebrations for children and young people
– To contribute to developing women's capacities through bodies concerned with women's economic, social and scientific advancement, and to sponsor activities in which women play a tangible role
– The Foundation is to seek funding institutions that support youth employment and capacity-building projects
– The Foundation is to explore establishing childcare homes
– The Foundation may take part in events that build young people's capacities, such as technology camps, ISEF competitions and educational and artistic competitions
– The Foundation may carry out artistic work ” drawing – theatre – documentary films – interactive theatre – writing workshops …” that contributes to developing the capacities of women, children and young people
Pillar Four: cultural and human development
In accordance with the Foundation's vision and mission and the State's Egypt Vision 2030 strategic plan, the Foundation has decided the following:
– To run a creative workshop for cultural development, known as the Creative Workshop
– To organise drawing camps
To stage plays and films for creative development
– To run training courses in human development
– To run camps for cultural development
– To hold conferences and forums that advance cultural development
– To hold conferences and forums that advance human development
– To publish all events on the Foundation's Facebook page
– To gather all the work for publication on the website once it is designed
Pillar Five: education quality
In accordance with the Foundation's statutes and the State's strategic plan, the Foundation has decided to work towards its vision and mission, implement its statutes and contribute to delivering the State plan through the following programmes and activities:
– To spread a culture of quality, put its practices into effect and work to make it a way of life in Egyptian society, disseminating all the excellent material produced by Professor Magdy Abdel Wahab Qasem, President of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education
– To deliver quality training
– To build partnerships with the various bodies that seek to deliver genuine quality contributing to the advancement and progress of society
– To produce technology programmes on education quality
– To hold quality events, forums and conferences, inviting whomever it chooses by decision of the Board of Trustees and not at the dictate of any other body
The Board of Trustees and the Finance Committee have approved the delivery of cultural and development projects for all the groups set out in the Foundation's strategic plan for 2018, as follows
– The Innovators and Inventors project, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, with the following initiatives: ” Know Your Robot ”, ” Make Your Toy ” ” My Mind Is Speaking … So Listen ”
– Delivery of projects for people with disabilities in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the State Information Service, working through the following initiatives and projects:
"I Feel You" … awareness of Irlen Syndrome
"Let's Learn Properly" … learning difficulties
"Come and Learn What Your Child Can Do" … intelligence tests and psychological tests
– Delivery of cultural development projects through:
A creative workshop, the ” Creative Literary Workshop for the Poets of Kafr El-Zayat ”, concerned with cultural development and open to writers from across the country
– Delivery of youth development programmes in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and the Development Services Centre, and through innovation projects and youth employment bodies
– Delivery of childhood programmes and of the "Sarkha" (Cry) programmes, and contacting the relevant bodies to partner with them ” contacting the cultural palaces … the House of Talents – the National Council for Childhood ”
– Delivery of all programmes to build women's capacities, and contacting associations working in the same field to work with them
– Purchase and equipping of a sensory integration room to serve the governorate's children, and partnership with schools, associations and care homes to provide occupational therapy for children and all groups, together with training a number of volunteers to use the room's equipment
– Purchase of thinking and character-building tools and a number of psychological scales
– Delivery of courses on learning difficulties
– Delivery of courses in Arabic calligraphy and languages
– Delivery of handicraft workshops
– Appointment of a full-time executive director who will also serve as projects director
